Tuition and RaiseMe Earnings

Penn State offers two RaiseMe packages:

  1. Low-income students, as verified through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), can earn a maximum of $3,500 per academic year for full-time enrollment. Students who enroll for two years can earn a total maximum award of $7,000.
  2. Other qualifying students can earn $2,000 per academic year for full-time enrollment. Students who enroll for two years can earn a total maximum of $4,000.

Earning your RaiseMe scholarship after admission to Penn State

Micro-scholarship earnings are automatically included in your financial aid award notification if you apply and are admitted.

To renew your RaiseMe award after the first year you must earn a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average. Full-time students must complete 24 credits after one year to continue eligibility.

Part-time enrollers will receive a pro-rated scholarship amount depending on the number of credits they earn, which will allow them to stretch their award to cover additional semesters.

Tuition and Fees

Commonwealth campus tuition varies, depending on the location you attend, as well as whether you are a resident of the state of Pennsylvania. Review the Penn State Tuition and Fees Schedules to determine your costs.
