Eligibility
Getting Started
- Follow Penn State Commonwealth campuses at RaiseMe
- Enroll at a Pennsylvania Community College and complete at least 18 credits
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.8 to be eligible for RaiseMe Transfer
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually
Earn micro-scholarships while you are enrolled at a Pennsylvania Community College:
- Build your portfolio
- Enter your grades, extracurriculars, and accomplishments, so you can see in real-time the scholarships you can earn when you enroll at Penn State in the future
- Earn a micro-scholarship by selecting the Penn State Commonwealth campus you plan to attend
- Meet regularly with a Penn State Commonwealth campus transfer admissions counselor to plan for your transition to a baccalaureate program
- Make progress toward the completion of an associate degree at a PA Community College to earn the highest amount of RaiseMe scholarship support
- Earn micro-scholarships until the earnings deadline for your planned transfer semester:
- Summer – May 1
- Fall – June 15
- Spring – December 15
Apply for admission and enroll at a Penn State Commonwealth Campus:
To begin, follow the steps to apply at Steps to Apply for Transfer Students – Undergraduate Admissions
- Be sure to select a Penn State Commonwealth campus as your first-choice campus on the application Commonwealth campuses.
- Select a baccalaureate major that can be completed at a Commonwealth campus University Bulletin.
- Attend New Student Orientation and schedule classes.
