Transfer Resources

Penn State campuses will provide you with one-on-one support to make your transfer process seamless.

Dual Admissions Process

Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses have partnered with Pennsylvania Community Colleges to provide a seamless Dual Admissions Program for students seeking to complete a four-year degree at Penn State.

Students who are currently enrolled in a Pennsylvania Community College and planning to attend one of Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses are eligible to apply for dual enrollment.

We know that the transfer process can be overwhelming. Penn State admissions counselors, located throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, can assist you by discussing majors, minors, and certificates that match your interests; evaluating your transfer credits; and referring you to student aid staff.

Pursuing a Penn State degree means access to faculty experts and state-of-the-art resources that will help you make an impact on the world.

Determining How Courses will Transfer

The Transfer Credit Tool will assist you in knowing how your courses will transfer to Penn State. This tool will allow you to search the courses you have completed at your community college, and any other institutions, in order to determine how they might transfer to Penn State. The Penn State college/major of enrollment will determine how transfer credits will be used to meet degree requirements.

Transfer Application Information

Penn State considers you a transfer student if you have attempted or completed 18 or more credits at another college or university after high school graduation. Additionally, to earn a RaiseMe scholarship, students must transfer from a Pennsylvania community college. As you prepare to apply to Penn State, we encourage you to review all the application steps and requirements for transfer students.

We welcome you to contact a transfer admissions counselor at your local Penn State campus:
